Summer Cocktail
Crystal Dnd Dice Set Red, Orange, Warm Colors
You know… Sometimes when you think about a concept, most of your senses fire at the same time. This is one of them for me.
I named this handmade crystal DnD dice set “Summer Cocktail”. Of course, there are lots of summer cocktails that have different color sets but, thanks to the media, I have this preconception: summer → beach → sea → sun → hot → thirsty → drink → cocktail → tiki bar → a Hawaiian bartender → coconut, mango, pineapple…
But the thing is, when I think about “summer cocktail” I can feel my fingers grabbing an ice cold glass, condensation drops running down my fingers. I can smell that amazing coconut and mango scent, so overwhelming yet it leaves me happy at the end. With little sips, that unique taste rushes all over my taste buds, tasting the combination of the flavors first, then being able to identify each one of them… And those damn sand particles stuck between my feet and my sandals… but hey! It’s okay. ‘Cause I have my summer cocktail now, I can’t bring myself to care about little details like that. Like I don’t care about those grilling sun rays, ’cause I have my summer cocktail. It’ll cool me off, give me energy, and provide me with enough pleasure so I can keep going through the day with a good vibe…
So maybe… Just maybe I lean too far into the “forbidden candy” territory, but without the emotions, memories, and desire for those pleasures, there is no point in making artistic crafts. Should I consider making real candy versions of these? Hmm… Maybe there is a market for it…
